Fire and Blood, Music of Michael Daugherty

Alexandre da Costa, violin; Montreal Symphony (Warner Classics)
A wonderful reunion with the Montréal Symphony whose recordings I planned in my Decca years. This time it was as Producer for a recording of music for violin and orchestra by the American composer Michael Daugherty. It was also the opportunity to begin a working relationship with the dynamic Canadian violinist Alexandre da Costa. This is the propulsive finale to Duagherty's Violin Concerto.
